• Pay through the platform

  Never pay outside The Plug Corner. Off-platform payments lose escrow protection.

• Keep chats on-platform

  In-app messaging gives us a record to help if a dispute arises.

• Buy from verified sellers when possible

  Look for the green verified badge — those sellers passed identity checks.

• Inspect on delivery

  Open the package, check the item matches the listing, then confirm receipt.

• Use a tracked delivery method

  Self-collection is fine for low-value items, but tracked courier is safer for higher prices.

• Trust your gut

  If something feels off, walk away and tell us. Better to skip a deal than be scammed.

If something goes wrong

Report the issue from your order page or use the report form. Our trust & safety team will review the evidence (messages, photos, delivery records) and act fairly to resolve it.

Red flags

• Seller asks you to pay by EFT, cash, or a payment app outside the platform.
• Listing price is dramatically below market.
• Seller refuses to meet in a public place or won’t use a tracked courier.
• Pressure to act quickly or move to WhatsApp / Telegram.
